Her appearances on sitcoms Cougar Town (ground floor, inaccessible), Love, Great News, B Positive and Ground Floor are some of her most well-known roles.    Education and early life  Heelan was the daughter of Kimball Heelan, an actress and teacher at Lowell Public Schools, and Kevin Heelan, a playwright. She has a brother named Conor. Her father, as well as being a professional dramatist has been a teacher at Phillips Andover Academy since 1983.    Heelan was educated at Walnut Hill School for the Arts, and then spent a year studying at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. Following that, she was moved to the University of Southern California. In 2009, she earned the degree of Bachelor of Arts.
